Once your files are prepared for a printing press, you will be asked to review and sign-off a pdf proof for each element of your stationery before it is printed. This includes checking all the text and images to make sure there are no mistakes.

It is your responsibility to check your proofs, as once you sign them off Gemma Milly Illustration cannot take any responsibility for any errors in the printed stationery. So please take care to check your proofs carefully.

A handy tip is to read the proofs out loud to another person to make sure you don’t miss anything. They should check the text and placement of all design elements against what you are reading to them.

Please make sure you tick off each element in the following list:

Do you have pdf proofs for all of the stationery items you've ordered?
Are all the pages in the proper order and are the page numbers (if applicable) correct? This is particularly important for orders of service or where there is more than one page.
Is all the relevant information included in the text, and is the spelling and punctuation correct? Are there any missing characters or broken type?
Please double check all dates, names, professional titles, addresses, email & web addresses, and telephone numbers.
Are all illustrations, patterns and design elements included and in the proper placement? NB Anything that does not appear on your proof will not be printed.
Are all fonts correct?
Is the text spaced properly, and does the text align as anticipated? If required is there space for your guests names to be written?
Are all margins and page alignment(s) correct?
Are the ink and colors correct and consistent throughout the proof?
Please check that abbreviations are not included in the copy and that all dates and addresses are spelled out in full.
Have you finalized the paper stock for your stationery?
